Hey, hey! It’s Zenek again sending my condolences for your $400+ version of Rock Band, however, you’re more than welcome to check out my second review (For free!) and learn about one of the greatest platformers to grace the Xbox. It involves an animated doll, Zombie Dust, gumbo and self mutilation so what are you waiting for?! Get ready to love Voodoo Vince!

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Well it looks like dear old Harmonix have realise they're in a bit of a pickle with their pricing of Rock Band. You see, one of their employees decided to post on the forums as to why the pricing was so high and, frankly, we thought the comments were so interesting we might as well post some of them. Otherwise we might just EXPLODE with stored up news overload.
To recap my main point: we’re not gouging you, primarily because doing so doesn’t serve our interests. We can only build our franchise if you buy our games. You may conclude that Rock Band isn’t worth the price charged, and that is your prerogative. But it’s not magically going to get cheaper because you wish it to be so.
Final point: is it worth the money? You can all be the judge of that once you’ve had a chance to play it for yourselves. Obviously, we’re biased at Harmonix; we live and breathe this game. But we’ve sold a ton of these in the U.S. at a far higher price point than people are used to paying for a video game, because it really is a new and different experience that you have to experience to believe. Once you get a crack at it, you’ll know whether or not it’s worth the money. We think you might decide that it is. OK, I’m going back to work. Thanks for listening.
"Greg" - Product Development, Harmonix
Now, believe me I'm not one to mock with sarcasm or angry invective...okay, I am, but don't tell anyone else...but this deserves at LEAST one point of mockery. So, Greg, are you trying to tell us that the entire basis of Economics is WRONG? I mean, as far as I was aware, right, if there is no demand for a product then what we do is we alter the price till there is....downwards. Just look up "Supply and demand curve" on google if you don't believe me. As for putting the blame on shipping....well I believe you get a discount on that if you ship in bulk. If I can import the Rock Band bundle from the US, pay postage, and tax, and a handling fee and it STILL be cheaper than what you can ship just the instruments for then something is wrong with your business partness.
Just take a link and read the whole depressing saga for yourself.

No, I'm serious, settle down there at the back and stop sniggering. Apparently it turns out that someone is trying to make a second Street Fighter "Live-Action" movie. Yes, yes, we know it will be rubbish, that's a given. The only thing we need to wonder is if it will be fun rubbish like DOA and the original Street Fighter movie, or will it be diabolical garbage like Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life.
Well wonder no more, apparently you can check out all the hot hot action straight from Thailand on the OFFICIAL set blog: HERE
Frankly I don't know or care if it's real (It's hosted by some random cheap domain provider) but if it is real then I have to congratulate whoever is making the movie on casting Michael Clarke Duncan as he improves anything.
Oh, and if anything momentous happens you'll be sure to hear it here second...that is as soon as we've finished laughing at the fact someone commisioned this film.
Let's try and forget the whole Rock Band nonsense and just continue to live with "Not coming out in Europe" in our heads instead.
So here's a new feature! We're going to look at unsung heroes of gaming, and give them the recognition they deserve. This time, we say hello to...
THE ANGRY SUN
Just look at him. Look at how angry he is. Look at how orange and sunlike he is. Marvel at him. Worship him.
He first appeared in one of the desert levels in Mario 3 on the NES, though the image above is from the SNES incarnation. He's probably been in other games since, though I can't really remember. I think he might be in Mario Kart Double Dash, in that crap desert level with the whirlwind thingy.
Look at the picture again! Save it to your desktop. Set it as your desktop wallpaper, tiled. Print it off. Send it to all your friends.

Let's look at European fan reactions to the pricing of Rock Band here!
Yeah they were better staying un-announced, £180 for the game I just straight from a buying on day of release customer to a not buying it ever customer. Nice work

woah, good news happily tainted with a big slab of faeces to chew on! Mmm...
Venix123 of the EA forums
Sorry, EA, you're not getting my money, and I'll be advising everyone I know to steer well clear of this one. Every sale you lose is a victory for common sense, and I'm hoping there'll be a lot of them - I know there will, in fact.
iapetus of the EA forums
EA must be high serious, making us pay MORE than what we can get a 360 for and only just less than the premium, just wtf EA smoking??

With good news there is always bad news. Well, if you live here in Europe.
In the States, Rock Band will set you back £85. That's for the game, the drums, a guitar and the mic. Not bad at all, so we were expecting about £120 or so. THAT IS NOT THE CASE!
It's £180.
There are no words to describe how I feel right now.

With the release of Rock Band in Europe now confirmed, we decided to have a sort of celebratory run-up to the fateful day.
For months now we've been watching videos of one of the world's best Rock Band drummers, a chap the internet knows as azuritereaction. To call him good is like calling lava warm.
So when we get a spare moment, we (well, I) like to pop on a video of his and play along in the air. Air drums, as it were. The goal is to one day get as good as his "And Justice For All" run, which can be seen below because embedding YouTube videos is the way forward.
